Noisy Brakes

When using the brakes, listen for any squeaking or squealing and grinding. Squeaking or squealing is the brake pads telling you that they are at their minimum level of thickness and that the metal spring installed in the brake pad is gently scraping the brake disc. If you hear grinding, that is the braking system telling you that the pads have completely worn out and that the metal calipers are squeezing on the metal brake disc.
